Always wear gloves when handling resin., Work in a well-ventilated area to avoid inhaling fumes., Keep resin and hardener away from children and pets., Avoid skin contact and wash immediately if exposed., Do not use kitchen tools for resin projects.
Choose a clean, well-ventilated workspace and cover it with disposable material to protect surfaces. Wear nitrile gloves to protect your hands from resin exposure. Spray silicone molds lightly with mold release spray and let them dry completely. Measure equal parts of epoxy resin and hardener according to the product instructions. Mix the resin and hardener slowly in a cup for 2–3 minutes to avoid introducing bubbles. Pour a thin layer of mixed resin into the bottom of each mold cavity. Use tweezers to gently place pressed flowers onto the resin layer in the mold. Arrange the flowers carefully using a toothpick or tweezers to achieve your desired design. Slowly pour another layer of resin over the flowers until the mold is filled. Use a heat gun or lighter briefly over the surface to remove any air bubbles. Allow the resin to cure undisturbed for the time specified by the manufacturer, usually 24–48 hours. Check that the resin is fully hardened before attempting to demold. Gently flex the silicone mold to release the cured resin piece. Inspect the piece for sharp edges and sand lightly if needed. If making jewelry, attach jump rings or earring hooks using pliers. For coasters, consider adding rubber feet or a cork backing for stability. Clean up any leftover resin with isopropyl alcohol before it cures. Store unused resin in a cool, dry place with lids tightly sealed. Dispose of resin waste according to local hazardous material guidelines. Wash hands thoroughly after completing the project.
