Grout float, Sponge, Bucket, Rubber gloves, Grout mixing tool, Margin trowel
Wear gloves to protect your hands from grout and sealer chemicals., Ensure proper ventilation when using grout and sealer products., Clean spills immediately to prevent slipping hazards., Avoid inhaling grout dust during mixing; wear a mask if needed.
Clean the tile surface thoroughly to remove dust, debris, and adhesive residue. Mix the grout in a bucket according to the manufacturer's instructions until smooth. Use a grout float to scoop and spread grout diagonally across the tile surface. Work the grout into the joints by pressing firmly with the float at a 45-degree angle. Scrape off excess grout from the tile surface using the edge of the float. Wait about 10–15 minutes, then wipe the tiles with a damp sponge to remove residue. Rinse the sponge frequently and avoid pulling grout from the joints while wiping. Allow the grout to cure for the time specified by the manufacturer, usually 24 hours. Buff any remaining haze from the tile surface with a dry cloth or cheesecloth. Apply grout sealer to the grout lines using a small brush or applicator bottle. Allow the sealer to penetrate, then wipe off any excess from the tile surface. Let the sealer cure as directed before exposing the floor to moisture or traffic. Wear rubber gloves when handling grout and sealer to protect your skin. Ensure the room is well-ventilated when using grout and sealer products. Use painter's tape to protect adjacent surfaces if needed before applying grout. Check for any missed grout lines and touch up as necessary before sealing. Clean all tools with water immediately after use to prevent hardened grout. Dispose of grout waste and rinse water according to local regulations. Inspect the grout lines after curing for cracks or gaps and repair if needed. Avoid walking on the floor until the grout has fully cured and sealed.
