Park your car on a level surface, turn off the engine, and set the parking brake for safety. Use a jack to lift the vehicle and place jack stands under the frame for stable support. Ensure the exhaust system is cool to avoid burns before working underneath. Spray WD-40 or penetrating oil on rusty bolts and hangers to facilitate removal. Use a socket set and ratchet wrench to loosen and remove the exhaust clamps and bolts securing the exhaust. Carefully detach the exhaust from the catalytic converter and muffler, using a pry bar if parts are stuck. Remove the old exhaust system completely, taking note of how parts are assembled. Position the new exhaust system in place, aligning it with the existing mounts and connections. Secure the new exhaust with clamps or bolts, tightening to manufacturer specifications, and apply anti-seize to prevent future rust. Double-check all connections and mounts to ensure everything is tight and properly aligned. Carefully lower the vehicle from the jack stands and remove the jack. Start the engine and listen closely for any exhaust leaks or rattling sounds, adjusting if necessary.
