Clean the tile surface thoroughly to remove dust, debris, and adhesive residue.
Put on gloves to protect your hands from grout and cleaning chemicals.
Mix the grout in a bucket according to the manufacturer's instructions until smooth.
Let the grout sit (slake) for 5–10 minutes if recommended by the manufacturer.
Scoop grout onto the tile using a margin trowel or directly with the float.
Hold the rubber float at a 45-degree angle and spread grout diagonally across the tiles.
Press grout firmly into the joints to ensure full coverage and eliminate air pockets.
Scrape off excess grout from the tile surface using the float held at a steep angle.
Wait 10–15 minutes for the grout to begin setting before cleaning the tiles.
Wipe the tile surface with a damp sponge in a circular motion to remove grout residue.
Rinse the sponge frequently in clean water to avoid smearing grout over the tiles.
Allow the grout to cure for the time specified by the manufacturer, usually 24–72 hours.
After curing, buff the tile surface with a dry cloth to remove any remaining haze.
Inspect grout lines for cracks or gaps and touch up if necessary.
Apply grout sealer with a small brush or applicator bottle to protect from moisture.
Wipe off any excess sealer from the tile surface with a clean cloth.
Allow the sealer to dry completely as per product instructions before using the floor.
Dispose of grout residue and rinse tools thoroughly with water.
Store leftover grout and sealer properly for future touch-ups.
Ventilate the area well during and after sealing to avoid inhaling fumes.
