Adjustable wrench, Basin wrench, Bucket, Towel, Flashlight, Plumber's tape
Always turn off water supply valves before starting., Use a flashlight to ensure visibility in tight spaces under the sink., Be cautious of sharp edges and confined spaces when working under the sink.
Turn off both hot and cold water supply valves under the sink. Place a bucket and towel under the sink to catch any residual water. Use an adjustable or basin wrench to disconnect the old supply lines. Loosen and remove the mounting nuts securing the old faucet. Lift the old faucet out of the sink and clean the mounting area thoroughly. Insert the new Delta faucet through the sink mounting hole. Apply plumber’s putty or silicone sealant around the base if recommended. From underneath, slide the mounting bracket and nut onto the faucet shank. Tighten the mounting nut securely using a basin wrench. Connect the hot and cold supply lines to the corresponding shutoff valves. Ensure all connections are hand-tight, then snug with a wrench without over-tightening. Remove the faucet spray head and flush the lines to clear debris. Reconnect the spray head and check for proper retraction and docking. Turn on the water supply valves slowly and check for leaks at all connections. Run both hot and cold water to ensure proper flow and temperature control. Check under the sink for any drips or leaks while the faucet is running. Tighten any fittings slightly if leaks are detected, then recheck. Ensure the faucet handle moves smoothly and the spray function works correctly. Wipe down the faucet and sink area to remove any excess putty or sealant. Dispose of the old faucet and packaging materials responsibly.
