Remove all screws securing the door panel using a Phillips screwdriver.
Gently lift and pull the door panel away from the door frame to release the clips.
Disconnect the wiring harness connected to the old speaker.
Unscrew the old speaker from the door using a socket wrench or screwdriver.
Remove the old speaker and inspect the wiring for damage or corrosion.
Use a multimeter to verify speaker wires are delivering signal and polarity is correct.
Strip the speaker wires if needed and attach connectors or crimp new ones.
Connect the new speaker to the wiring, matching polarity correctly.
Secure the new speaker into the door using the provided or original screws.
Wrap any exposed wire connections with electrical tape for insulation.
Reconnect the speaker wiring harness if applicable.
Before reassembling, reconnect the battery and test the new speaker for sound.
Ensure the speaker is functioning properly and there is no distortion.
Disconnect the battery again before reassembling the door panel.
Reattach the door panel by aligning clips and pressing it into place.
Reinsert and tighten all screws to secure the door panel.
Snap the trim pieces back into place on the door.
Reconnect the negative battery terminal and test the speaker again.
