Adjustable wrench, Pliers, Rag or cloth, Teflon tape (plumber's tape)
Use a rag between tools and fixtures to prevent scratching., Do not overtighten fittings to avoid damaging plumbing., Ensure water is off before removing the old showerhead.
Turn off the shower faucet to stop water flow before starting. Use an adjustable wrench or pliers with a rag to loosen the old showerhead. Carefully unscrew and remove the old showerhead from the shower arm. Inspect the shower arm threads for debris or old tape and clean them thoroughly. Wrap Teflon tape clockwise around the shower arm threads 2–3 times. Align the new showerhead with the shower arm and begin threading it by hand. Hand-tighten the showerhead until snug to avoid damaging the threads. Use a wrench with a cloth to gently tighten the showerhead if needed, avoiding over-tightening. Turn on the water slowly to test the new showerhead. Check all around the connection for any leaks. If leaks are present, turn off the water and tighten the showerhead slightly. Reapply Teflon tape if leaks persist and reinstall the showerhead. Ensure the showerhead is positioned correctly for optimal spray direction. Test the water pressure and spray settings if the showerhead has multiple modes. Wipe down the showerhead and surrounding area to remove any debris or fingerprints. Dispose of the old showerhead and used materials properly. Store tools and unused Teflon tape for future use. Enjoy your newly installed showerhead.
