Insert the new cartridge or stem into the faucet body.

Reattach the faucet handle and tighten the screw firmly.

Turn the water supply valves back on slowly.
Open the faucet and check for proper water flow.
Inspect the faucet for any leaks around the handle or spout.

Clean up tools and dispose of old parts properly.
